I
haven't logged into my account for ages, and now it's gone... Why?
Here
at Mybabybe we believe in keeping the user list "fresh & active",
which means that if a users account hasn't been logged into for 6 months our
system automatically removes that account. This won't happen without warning
though, our system will send you an e-mail around the inactive 5 month mark
warning you of the deletion. To prevent your account being deleted simply re-visit
often and log in.
The reason
why we do this is because we are a meeting place, somewhere where people want
to contact other people, there really isn't much point in having tons of inactive
profiles. Yes, it would make the website seem bigger but thats not what we are
about.
Can
I upload my "Naughty Pictures"?
No sorry.
Any images of this nature will be removed without warning. This is not down
to us, because we are a free site we cannot risk losing any sponsorship from
other companies.
I
have received an e-mail saying that I have a message in my MyBabyBe Inbox, but
it isn't there... Why?
There
are two reasons why this may happen. Firstly, the user may of cancelled their
account. Secondly, either we have or the system has deleted the users account...
This could be because they have spammed the website, carried out commercial
advertising for other websites/businesses, been abusive, or tried to scam someone.
Unfortunately we cannot stop the e-mail once it has been sent.
Can
I block unwanted users?
Yes,
if you look at the offending persons profile there is a option to block all
contact from that person.
Someone
is harassing me, what can I do?
First
of all block them... If that fails then tell us! In every profile there is a
report user tab. Use this to contact us, please tell us what the person has
been doing and when. We will look fully into the situation, we operate a 3 strikes
policy, which means 3 warnings and then a ban. However, this policy can be overruled
if it is considered necessary.
I
have received spam from another user, what can I do?
Again
we need to know. When you open the mail there is a tab which allows you to report
spam, when reporting spam please copy & paste the message left by the user
into the report box. Your report will be noted & after 2 more reports from
other users the offending users account will be suspended/deleted. Any users
sending scam messages, or messages to people asking for money will be immediately
banned!
Can
I advertise on MyBabyBe?
If you
would like to advertise on MyBabyBe please contact us: Feedback
Please
do not put any advertising in your profile, or
spam any part of the website (Including our members). This will lead to warnings,
or immediate ban from the website. We do not allow
commercial advertising in users profiles.
Can
I put my e-mail address in my profile?
No! Our
system will remove any e-mail addresses automatically from e-mails sent &
profiles. Repeat offenders who put any e-mail addresses in their profiles will
receive warnings, or be banned.
How
do I change my email address or password?
You can
change your email address on the "edit your profile" page. Here you
can change some other information including search preferences, address and
other preferences about your daily routines, habits, hobbies etc.
After
you've made your changes, click "Save" at the bottom of the page to
save.
What
is the purpose behind Instant Messenger, how do I get benefit from it?
This
application is a faster way of communicating to other members of the site who
are online. You can add users to your friends list, and when they are online
their username will show up in green letters. When you send a message, the recipient
will receive it and can reply. If unfortunately recipient doesn't receive message
for some reason, then that message will be sent to his/her instant messenger
onsite message inbox. For you to be able to communicate with the instant messenger
it first needs to be started, you can do this by clicking the "Instant
Messenger" tab on the homepage. You need to leave the instant messenger
running, it can be minimized but if you shut it down all messages will go in
your IM inbox. The instant messenger works similar to the MSN messenger that
everyone is familiar with. However, on our site the MyBabyBe instant messenger
works as a pop up, so please disable all pop up blockers on your PC for our
site.
How
does "Match Me Up!" work?
Match
Me Up works according to the basic profile and "search preferences"
at the bottom of your "edit profile" page. Only if you have filled
out all of these details correctly will this function be effective.
Do
people actually meet on your site? Do they ever get married/partnered?
Lots
of people meet on our site daily and go on to date and start relationships.
We are waiting to hear any reports of our first matchmaking wedding, any new
details of such events will be posted on the frontpage.
When
someone emails me, where does the email go and how do I respond?
When
a member sends you a message, it goes straight into your onsite message Inbox.
We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's
there.
To read
the message, simply login to the site and go to your Inbox. If you decide to
write back, simply click "reply", write your own message and send
away. Your message will go straight into the member's onsite Inbox, and we'll
let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.
All communications
with other members stay onsite so that you never have to give out any personal
information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, you can exchange
phone numbers and even meet in person.
How
do I edit my profile? How do I hide my profile?
To update
your profile, click "Edit Profile" in Members Settings menu after
logging into the site. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen
when you're done.
Try to
put your best foot forward with at least one photo and snappy, detailed descriptions
about your interests. The photo is key since most people feel more comfortable
writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in your descriptions and
let the real you shine.
To hide
your profile, select "No" for the option "Other members can see
when I'm online?" on the "Edit Profile" page. Keep in mind, however,
that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all
places because it ups their chances of connecting with people. And you never
know, someone special may be looking for you and never get to find you if your
profile is hidden.
Can
I cancel my account?
Of course,
if you feel the need to cancel your account there is a option on the main login
page. In the "Member Settings Panel" on the right side of the page,
there is a "Cancel Membership" link there.
Please
note this is a permanent delete, all information / photos / mail and contacts
will be lost.
